30-day Husband Encouragement Challenge

Ephesians 5:33  “…and the wife must respect her husband.”

A friend invited me to join a Facebook challenge. I’ll admit, I’m not usually the type of person to ‘attend’ these sorts of events but this one caught my eye. Her message invited me to join the 30 Day Husband Encouragement Challenge starting September 1st.

The first thought that crossed my mind was that this is a wonderful use of Facebook! I not only signed up, but I sent a few invites out to some women who I thought might join me on the journey.

I firmly believe that a woman sets the tone in her home. I want my home to be a place of peace, a place of encouragement and a place of safety for every member in my family. Any group, challenge, or study that draws me closer to that goal is a worthwhile one.

A wise wife will do all she can to lift her husband in prayer and to help him become a strong man of God. A wise wife holds her tongue. I want to be a wise wife.

There are daily devotionals with specific suggestions on how to encourage your husband. Even if you’re not on Facebook you can read the devotions and join the challenge. The rules are simple:

  • No negative talk about your husband or to your husband.
  • Each day say something you admire about your husband to your husband and to someone else!

If you want your spouse to be the man God created him to be, let’s start by being the wife God desires us to be.

So happy to have found your blog! I’ve joined one of the 30-day Husband Encouragement Challenges but I’m not sure it’s the correct one! If you could, would you mind posting a link to the correct group here?

I also blog about marriage and my husband, so I look forward to reading more of your posts!

Glad to ‘meet’ you Mel. I’m looking fwd to checking out your blog.
The challenge was sent to me through a private Facebook invite. I can easily FB you an invite if you tell me how to find you on FB. I did link the daily devotionals to my post so that those who are not on FB can still join the fun. Let me know how it is best to proceed with an invite.
