We are half way through the 30-day Husband Encouragement challenge. Are you still encouraging? Have you forgotten all about it?
Yes, I know, not one of our spouses is perfect, but neither are any of us wives. As you focus on encouraging your husband this month, examine yourself. Scripture has much to say about women with loose lips, short tempers and sour attitudes. Consider these verses:
Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife (Psalm 25:24).
A quarrelsome wife is like the dripping of a leaky roof in a rainstorm (Psalm 27:15).
Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife (Proverbs 21:9).
A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones (Proverbs 12:4).
Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the LORD (Proverbs 19:14).
I don’t know about you, but I want to be a wife that is a gift from the Lord. I will be less quarrelsome and less nagging. I want to be a crown for my husband and a gift from God.
