An Updated Kitchen Doesn’t Have to Break the Bank

If you love a great before and after today’s Makeover will not disappoint. Alecia wanted an updated kitchen (who doesn’t?). But like most, a huge renovation wasn’t in the budget. So instead she set out to find ways to make her kitchen younger, brighter, and more modern without moving into expensive remodeling.
This is Alecia’s kitchen before. It’s lovely green and white countertop is a classic. Reminds me of the original counter in our home.
A few key changes spread out over a couple of years make all the difference in the world. They replaced the countertops one year, and the backsplash another.
They also replaced the old handles, patched up and repainted the cabinets, put in a new, deeper double sink and new faucet.
Just a few new things shaves years off their kitchen! Another great lesson in delayed gratification. Tackling one project at a time as the budget allows makes a kitchen renovation easier, more affordable, and sometimes even more rewarding.
