Reindeer cupcakes

Facebook can be a wonderful fountain of information. This photo came through my news feed:

I traced the source back to Giggle Plazooa’s Facebook page. I knew right away my kids and daycare kids would LOVE this treat.

According to Giggle P these are made in three easy steps.

  • Bake cupcakes of your choosing. I took the easy way out on these and made chocolate cupcakes from a box mix.
  • Frost with chocolate frosting.
  • Top with pretzels for the antlers, a Nilla Wafer for the face, white M&Ms for the eyes (or any other type of white candy), black icing for the eyeballs, and brown and red candies for the nose (She used peanut butter M&Ms and Cadbury chocolate balls).

Due to allergies in our home I cut a mini marshmallow in half for the eyes, used a chocolate chip for the eyeballs, and a skittle for the nose.

Here is what Reindeer cupcakes look like when they are crafted by 3, 4 and 5 year old hands.

Our projected created some happy bakers and some pretty cute reindeers. I hope your family enjoys this holiday treat as much as mine did!
