I’ve used our couch table for many purposes. A salon table. A side table. Even a kitchen island (as pictured below).
Now, after renovating our main floor, it can return to its designed purpose as a couch table. However all my “multi purposes” have damaged it – badly. Salon hot rollers melted the surface “veneer” and wrinkled it. I screwed through it when I attached the island counter-top, and drilled holes in the legs to add shelves.
Nothing a little DIY can’t fix!
Using this easy homemade chalk paint recipe I mixed some on-hand grey paint and slapped it on – fully trusting that chalk paint required no prep. (I used the plaster of paris recipe.)
Then, I lightly sanded the edges.
And we have a couch table, that I have to admit, I like better than the original. (Notice the painted rug beside it?)
