Garden easel from birchwood

I painted this stone a few years back. Since moving, I have wanted to put it in the garden, but needed an easel.

So I asked a friend if she knew where I could find some birchwood. She did.

She kindly brought over a few branches, and one a sunny Saturday afternoon my husband and I attached three branches together at the top with long wood screws.

We added supports at the side and a thick branch to the front to create the “ledge”.

I can’t wait until Spring when I can add some perennials around the bottom. I’m looking for hydrangeas (if anyone is splitting any!).
