Don’t throw out those hollow doors!

Jessica and Keith used hollow bi-fold doors to create beautiful floating shelves.

Keith cut the door to the desired length and width. One door gave them 2, 8×36 inch shelves.

He removed the wooden pieces from the leftover portion of the door and used it for the brackets.

The shelves won’t hold a ton of weight, but really, no floating shelf ever does. Their thrifty DIY saved them tons of money, something everybody loves.
