Kevin’s office desk

We started with a single piece of countertop in a nice colour, but it didn’t suit our purposes. We painted the countertop, along with a slender piece of plywood we used to wrap the surface around the corner.

Kevin attached the counter and plywood to the wall with brackets, and framed the desk on site with  2 x 4’s.

He clad it in leftover breadboard, and trimmed the corners, bottom, and along the wall. He filled the nail holes, and gave the entire piece a coat of glossy white paint. We already had the majority of the needed supplies leftover from other projects, so the financial output was minimal.

Not too bad for a project made up from leftovers! It’s been over nine months since Kevin built this, and the painted countertop is holding up fantastic.

Very nice, it’s been a while since I saw Kevin’s work in the house in MJ. Your skills are looking good, Kevin. I made a outside bench out of the red stairs that you gave me. Was showing it off yesterday.
